My name in Madeleine and I am currently studying Masters in Strategy and Management of International Business (SMIB) at ESSEC Asia Pacific campus. Prior to joining ESSEC, I did my undergraduate studies at Singapore Management University. After graduation, I was with one of the top accounting firms performing risk and corporate advisory roles.

After close to two years of working in the industry and gaining relevant experience, it reinforces my passion and drive to work in the management consulting industry. As the management consulting industry is a very competitive one, I decided to apply for a masters course to improve my chances of getting into my dream company! For my Masters application, as I was browsing through the internet, I chanced upon ESSEC SMIB program and it was the only program that I applied. The reasons why I applied to ESSEC SMIB are the uniqueness and structure of the program. The SMIB program is a 7-months long full-time program where it equip students with the necessary skills required by the industry. In addition, the program offers Asian Strategy Challenge (ASC) where students are allowed to work with real business partners under the guidance of a professor. The ASC is extremely valuable because it provides student the exposure and experience with working on a potential implementable proposal. Not only does ESSEC has great curriculum, but also a diverse student body that provides a great networking opportunity!

Interested in my application journey and what ESSEC has to offer? Interested in the Asia culture and what this diversified garden city has to offer? Please do chat me up and I will share with you my journey and experience in Singapore!
