Hello! Hola! Ciao!
My name is Giorgio, and I am a second-year SMIB master’s student at ESSEC in the Singapore campus. I was born and raised in Milan, Italy, where I lived most of my life.
Before joining ESSEC, I completed a Bachelor’s in International Economics and Management at Bocconi University, a program during which I also had the chance to spend an exchange semester at Nova SBE in Lisbon. During my studies, I developed a particular interest in strategy and innovation, two of the main pillars driving all the decisions in the corporate world. This is why after searching for a program that would allow me to further deepen my knowledge in these areas, I applied and then got into the SMIB program.
Here at ESSEC, I have very bright and collaborative classmates coming from different countries and academic backgrounds. This international and multicultural environment challenges students to constantly form and share new ideas through courses that balance academic knowledge and practical application. Moreover, the faculty constantly organizes important networking and career fair events as well as individual and group activities to help students better prepare for the job market.
In addition, being part of the ESSEC community gives access to all the different clubs, associations, teams, and activities that such a vibrant and dynamic environment offers, thereby making the overall experience even more enjoyable.
Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the program or the school in general. I will be happy to answer all your queries and share my experience with you!
