My name is Guillaume, I am French, and I am enrolled in the SMIB program on Singapore campus.
I am following the Corporate Strategy track with a double degree in International Business at Darla Moore School of Business, focused on International Trade & Investment.

My international journey started with a gap year during my Master’s Degree, through an internship in Brazil and a second mission in Vietnam, followed by an Exchange Semester in Santiago, Chile. After a solid experience within a financial services company, in Paris, I got my V.I.E. at the European Stock Exchange, divided into four six-month experiences in Frankfurt, Milan, Madrid and Munich.

Throughout my atypical path, internationally oriented, I have acquired a wide range of significant knowledge. Speaking six languages, but also being familiar with several cultures particularly represents a tremendous asset. In our fast-changing world, companies seek to reconcile local consideration and global integration in their approach. I truly believe in the consistency of sustainable strategies based on proximity with local ecosystems, high-quality know-how and cultural specificity. My different experiences in competitive environments have allowed me to gain maturity to refine my goals. I am thus convinced it is the best time to pursue this Master that fits into a logic of excellence and differentiation.

Indeed, I consider the SMIB as the adapted program to expand my knowledge, particularly regarding Asia and North America, and to leverage my distinctiveness from a professional standpoint. This renowned training is both a real career accelerator and a formation coherent with my professional ambitions to become a responsible manager, focused on performance, innovation and sustainability.

Moreover, I have chosen this Master and this track in order to strengthen the global dimension of my profile and gain international legitimacy. Giving meaning to my career involves a skilful incorporation of strong values associated with strategic vision of business. In that sense, the SMIB offers a unique opportunity to receive a tailor-made, and high-quality training provided by experts, within an institution as renowned as ESSEC.

That being said, pursuing the SMIB is not only a matter of receiving excellent and specialized education, it is also becoming part of the global, diverse, and talented ESSEC network.
