B.Eng. Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (First Class Hons.), University of Sydney
My name is Tianyi Song, also known as Mandy. I am currently in my first year of the Master in Management program at ESSEC Singapore. For my bachelor's degree, I did Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Sydney.
Coming from an engineering background, I have experienced the whole struggling and reflecting phases after graduation. I have all these doubts - whether to switch to business, my future career plans, and which school to choose. With interest in cosmetics and fashion, I did a four-month internship at Prada. The experience was rewarding and cleared some of my doubts in career building. Besides ESSEC's world-class ranking, the main reason I chose ESSEC over HKU and IC is the flexibility and diversity of its program. I am especially attracted to the Chairs offered, which could be the perfect olive branch to my dream job. I'm going to apply for an exchange in my second year and then travel to Paris to attend the Chairs. If you have any doubts in general or want to know more about the ESSEC curriculums (or you are crazy about Lana Del Rey), don't hesitate to drop me a message! I'm happy to share my experiences and genuine suggestions with you ;)
