My name is Nelberto Nicholas but you can call me “Sam.” I currently work for the internal consulting team of BNP Paribas as part of my apprenticeship. Before coming to ESSEC, I used to work in Marketing & Sales in Unilever. Half-way through my first year in the job, I realized I wanted to have an international career ASAP and I wanted a degree where I would be with bright and ambitious people from all over the world who were also very early in their careers. And ESSEC certainly did not disappoint.

What really made my experience special in ESSEC was the flexibility of the program! To illustrate, let me give you a glimpse of what my ESSEC journey has been like:
In my first term, I was able to choose classes that I needed to help me land my dream internships. For the second trimester, I decided to specialize in tech and analytics, so I entered the Digital Disruption Chair and simultaneously did a part-time internship in a boutique digital consulting firm in Paris. My Chair took me to a study tour in Estonia and Finland where I met startup founders and tech policy makers. I then applied what I learned by finishing the trimester with a consulting project for Google Paris and getting an internship in the Venture Capital and FinTech industry. Afterwards, I spent my summer term doing an internship abroad as a Business Analyst in Amazon’s EU headquarters in Luxembourg. Lastly, for my second year, I decided to do what no other international student in any other business school has the opportunity to experience - an apprenticeship! This allowed me to get 100% of my tuition fees reimbursed and get a full salary during months spent studying, even during the trimester I will spend on exchange with the University of Melbourne in Australia!

I don’t think I could ever have such a diverse set of high-impact, international, and meaningful experiences if I went to any other business school. This is why I’d be very happy to connect with you, hear your story, share more of mine, and answer any questions you may have about the ESSEC MIM program or my experience with it. So please don’t hesitate to send me a message and talk to you soon!
