Hello, Namaste!
I was born and raised in Jind, a small city in Haryana state of India. My father hated motorcycles. You might find it strange that I mentioned this point. You’ll know later why I told you this. I completed high school shuffling from one city to another, for my father was in a transferable government job; and decided to do my bachelors in Mechanical and Automation engineering because…. yes, Motorcycles! One thing that has been common throughout my journey is my quest to balance the academic and professional responsibilities with sports and extra-curriculars. I raced motorcycles professionally in FIM recognized events, and played Handball in U-19 Nationals & Kabaddi in Inter-university competitions. On the professional side, I worked at PayTM and Eminent Engineers India before coming to ESSEC, both in the Operations domain.
My decision to come to ESSEC for the Master in Management program (Starting in Cergy, France) was ascertained due to the perfect match between the program characteristics and my professional goals. Everyone talks about the unmatched flexibility of the program, which of course is very true, but to me it mattered even more because I plan to work in the niche automotive/motorsport industry post MiM. To be able to choose over 2/3 of my courses allows me to build specific competencies and prepares me for my professional goal. To complement that, ESSEC has over 47 specializations (Chairs and Tracks) and over 100 Student Associations, all to facilitate learning and opportunities tailored to every individual’s own professional and personal targets.
Now the reason I shared my extra-curriculars in the beginning was not just to tell you who I am, but also to show the diversity of the cohort at ESSEC.
