Hi!
I’m Yesho Gupta, a second-year student enrolled in the MiM program here at ESSEC Business School. I started my grad school journey in September 2020, amidst the pandemic. Nervous and not sure how affected my experience in the Asia Pacific campus would be, I reached Singapore to pursue my first year of studies. Since then over a year has gone by and I can confidently say that joining ESSEC Asia Pacific has been the best decision of my life. Studying in the vibrant & cosmopolitan Singapore had always been a dream and realizing it in one of the best business schools globally was an icing on the cake.
Previously, I had completed my B. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from VIT Vellore, a well-reputed college in India. I had then worked for around 2 years as a software developer with Cisco Systems. Having developed a host of technical skills, I felt it was the right time for me to make a switch and explore the business side of things.
The ESSEC curriculum has been dynamic and flexible which has allowed me to shape my program the way I see fit. My greatest exposure yet was the internship opportunity I got to do in between my two years at ESSEC. The different opportunities that ESSEC MiM opens for a student are unbelievable and truly motivating.
Being part of the Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Sustainability track has given me an honest insight into how to start a business, how businesses grow, and what it means to have a business that not only is profitable but also gives back to society. Working on real-time case studies with people from over 10 different nationalities has helped me hone my critical thinking, public speaking, and negotiation skills. I believe this track has helped stimulate the creative side of my brain and I have already started picturing and working on some of my long-term entrepreneurial projects.
The Junior Consultant Experience was throughly enjoyable and made my experience at ESSEC Singapore stand out. In collaboration with consultants, helping MNCs solve their real-time business problems was a true sneak peek into what the consulting world has in store for us.
If what you are looking for is a truly multicultural, holistic, and rich experience along with a challenging curriculum that will help you step outside your comfort zone, then ESSEC Asia Pacific is the right choice. I have a lot more to share about my year-long journey at the Singapore campus, so please don’t hesitate to contact me for information regarding the MiM track, the Asia Pacific campus, or your application process. Cheers and I look forward to talking with you.
