Oi, Hello, Hola!
My name is Joaquim and I’m currently a student in the 1-year (M2) Master in Finance (MIF) program, Corporate Finance track. Prior to joining ESSEC Master in Finance, I undertook a Bachelor of Science in Economics at Pontifícia Universidade Católica in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, and I did a one-year internship at Broadspan Capital, an investment banking boutique that specializes in Latin America and the Caribbean. Working in finance allowed me to leverage my academic background in economics, but I believed that I needed to deepen my knowledge and skills in finance in order to enter the European labor market and to be successful in the long run in the finance industry.
I chose ESSEC for its academic excellence and internationally renowned, diverse pool of talents. The program represents the opportunity to live an academic experience in France, and more than that, the opportunity to encounter with people who represent a variety of cultural backgrounds and that have completely different mindset and approaches to problem-solving. In addition, you will profit from the immense knowledge of ESSEC’s elite professors and staff, which will help you unlock your potential and land your dream job.
Finally, being at ESSEC means that you have joined its vast and prestigious alumni network. Having all this in mind, do not hesitate to reach out and get in touch with me. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have at this stage. Looking forward to meeting you soon!
