Welcome everyone!
My name is Jacques, and I am a 24-year-old student in the one-year Master in Finance program at ESSEC Business School in Singapore.
I grew up in Paris, where I studied Financial Engineering at ESME Sudria Engineering School. I also spent a semester abroad at the University of California San Diego in the USA. During my engineering studies, I took time to refine my professional goals. Although I was hesitant between Financial Markets and Investment Banking, I decided to pursue a career in the latter due to the longer-term projects, tangible real-world impact, and wide range of exit opportunities. To achieve this objective, I applied to several top Master in Finance programs, including ESSEC's MIF.
The Master in Finance at ESSEC is one of the best programs for those aiming to access high finance, mainly thanks to the skills it will teach you, it is renowned, and the wide network of professionals the program will give you access to. The program is intensive and competitive, but so is Finance. Indeed, I believe that the MIF puts you in the right mindset to kick off your career, whether your goal is to go into IBD, S&T, PE, VC, or the many other career paths available.
Do not hesitate to ask me any questions you may have. I will be pleased to answer them and help you become a part of the ESSEC community!
