B.A. Economics, National Taiwan University
Mandarin, English, Taiwanese
My name is Chen-Po, Hsiao and I am currently a one-year Master in Finance student at ESSEC APAC. Before my journey here, I earned a bachelor in economics and worked as an analyst at The Nielsen Company for quantitative marketing research. Unlike typical candidates, I have a relatively diverse background. I have always been curious to learn different things and I embrace changes. As I started to learn about investing on my own, I realized how impactful and intriguing finance is, and that curiosity really drove my focus from FMCG market to the financial world.
At first place, I have realized that this program is definitely the strongest booster for my future path. Not only because it ranks 4th globally by the financial times, but more importantly, it’s because of the strong ties people here demonstrate. When I talked to different alumni, they are all approachable and can easily spend half an hour or above talking about their experiences at ESSEC and their suggestions for me. What’s more, not only between alumni and cohorts, the long-built relationships between our faculties and practitioners as well as the exclusive resources from the “Alumneye” grant us precious opportunities to learn and connect with people far beyond our own networks. So, I think the powerful networks here is what really makes ESSEC APAC stand out in global masters.
Less than a month, I can already feel how motivated my cohorts are for their own dedications, at the same time they are all easy-going, which I really appreciate. I recommend those who seek a diverse, supportive and motivating learning environment to join ESSEC APAC and kickstart your career plan.
As an ambassador, I would be more than glad to hear from your interest and share more about the school, the program and myself with you guys. Please feel free to direct message me on LinkedIn and I will get back to you 100%.
