Msc in Strategy and Management, The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) (UK)
My name is Maéva and I’m currently a student in the 1-year (M2) Master in Finance (MIF) program, Corporate Finance track. Prior to joining ESSEC Master in Finance, I undertook a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management at King’s College London and a Master of Science in Management and Strategy at the LSE. I did a six-month internship at Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity and a one-year internship at Tikehau Capital. Working in finance allowed me to leverage my academic background in economics, strategy and management but I believed that I needed to deepen my knowledge and skills in finance in order to be successful in the long run in this industry. I chose ESSEC for its internationally-renowned, diverse pool of talents and the international angle promoted by the school. Being Franco-Ivorian and having lived 6 years in the Ivory Coast, 6 years in Tunisia, 8 years in France and 4 years in the United Kingdom, I have developed a real cultural sensitivity. Choosing to study in London on campuses that represent more than a hundred nationalities and where I could pursue internships in different parts of the world was an obvious decision for me. In fact, I could not imagine spending this year in an environment where these advantages were lacking, which further motivated me to study at ESSEC. Here you will benefit from the advice of knowledgeable professors and admin professionals who will help you unlock your potential, and the career-oriented programs will take you one-step closer to landing your dream internship or job while making friends from all over the world. Becoming an ESSEC student also implies being part of the school’s prestigious worldwide alumni community for a lifetime. With that being said, do not hesitate to reach out and get in touch with me. I would be more than happy to answer any question you may have at this stage. Looking forward to meeting you soon!
