你好, Hello, Bonjour!

My name is Ning, a Chinese student from the Master in DSBA. Before joining ESSEC & Centrale, I was a student of Université de Technologie de Compiègne majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Between Data Sciences and Mechanical Engineering, there is a gap that cannot be ignored, then why I re-oriented my career path?

My interest in data analytics began with a worldwide entrepreneurial competition. Last year, I participated Valeo Innovation Challenge 2017, in which I developed a technological innovation for vehicles, led my team to enter the top 24 finalists, earning 5000€ as initiation funds. Despite gains, a further analysis of customer behaviour with the integration of sensor-derived data challenged me and reminded me of the necessity to learn knowledge in data sciences and business analytics. In order to gain additional programming experience, I took an internship at Total as calculation code developer, which enabled me to learn two new programming languages Javascript and Python. After these experiences, I have confirmed my future study plan.

Inspired by “the pioneering spirit” of ESSEC, I chose this program. This program can not only teach me all the core courses, but also provides with powerful worldwide alumni networks. Furthermore, the program allows me to learn tools and techniques in real industrial cases.

As above, ESSEC & Centrale are waiting for you. If you are interested in or would like to learn more about ESSEC and DSBA program, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am here for you. Good luck!
