My name is Marco, and I am delighted to be your ESSEC Student Ambassador for the APAC region. I was born and raised in Milan, Italy, and moved to Madrid to pursue a BBA at IE University. During that time, I became captivated by the richness of learning from people of diverse nationalities, languages, cultures and habits.

I then moved for an exchange program to the USA, where I studied at Ross School of Business – University of Michigan. Amongst various subjects, marketing resonated the most with my personality and passion for solving complex challenges. Marketing, for me, is not just about social media; it's a blend of negotiation, public speaking, strategy, e-commerce, psychology, and sociology. Marketing is the art of connecting with people, creating value, and influencing emotions and behaviors.

During my career, I've had the opportunity to work at a UK digital marketing agency, develop strategic marketing projects for various multinational companies, and co-found a startup focused on Asian vending machines in Madrid. These diverse experiences reaffirmed my decision to specialize in marketing.

Beyond my previous experience, I've always been intrigued by the art of selling and how luxury brands generate and capture value. ESSEC's MMD program immediately stood out due to its outstanding global reputation and focus on digital and luxury. Moreover, I highly value the opportunity to explore Asian economies while pursuing my professional career in Singapore—a stunning multicultural city with immense potential and abundant career opportunities.

My time at ESSEC has been nothing short of transformative. The vast international environment, excellent professors, dedicated career services, and the opportunity to collaborate with multinational companies on real-life projects have all contributed to my personal and professional growth.
