The program takes place in a multicultural country rich with history.
As a child, I had always had an innate curiosity for the Asia Pacific region. My parents, who are of Taiwanese and Macanese descent, immigrated to North America and raised me in Canada. I grew up in a Western environment but in an Eastern household, and I looked at the world with a hybrid lens. Later, I realized that I was intensely drawn to learn more about my Chinese and Taiwanese background, and thus majored in Asia Pacific Studies at the University of Toronto, where I gained a solid understanding of the APAC region. Singapore is the perfect location for this program, as it is a unique melting pot of many different cultures.

You get to perfect your marketing craft.
When I graduated from the University of Toronto, I was intrigued by the world of marketing as it appealed to me as the perfect balance between storytelling and analytics. Marketing is incredibly multidimensional, and before joining ESSEC I worked in marketing for Fortune 500 companies in an array of industries ranging from high fashion to logistics to finance/insurance. I was looking for a career that constantly challenged me and pushed me to creatively problem-solve. Since joining ESSEC, I recognise the theory and strategy behind marketing campaigns I executed in previous jobs. In addition, the MSc Marketing Management and Digital program provides us with fundamental business skills in management and accounting. Plus, industry leaders regularly join us for talks and we even get to work on real life case studies for world-renowned companies.
