My name is Gabriel Chacon, I come from Venezuela, and my favorite sentence in French is simply "pourquoi pas? (why not?)".
As a first-year student of the Master in Management program, I have joined the ESSEC community quite recently. One year ago, my choice to pursue this program was driven by a mix of its excellence, valuable encounters with other students, and a vast offer of opportunities that could push me to stay proactive and keep exploring my talents. Indeed, I have always been on the move - be it learning new languages (including a failed attempt to learn Korean), trying out new sports (such as tennis, bouldering, or capoeira), advocating for democracy at home, or having lived in three continents and five countries (special mention to Italy, where I completed my bachelor's degree). I am also passionate about economics, and I am intrigued by the ways in which the private sector can help us overcome social and environmental problems. In ESSEC's MiM, I have found a possibility to keep exploring myself and the world, learning how to turn diverse experiences into valuable assets for a responsible professional path. Hence, no doubt why I am here.
If you want to embark on a journey that offers plenty of opportunities to compete with the best in a global scenario and to keep up with the fascinating challenges of our ever-changing world, well then "pourquoi pas l'ESSEC?
In the meantime, I am here to help. Ask away!
