Hello and Welcome to IHMI!
My name is Utkarsh and I am currently an international first-year student enrolled in the MSc in Hospitality Management Program (IHMI) at ESSEC Business School. I am following the internship track and would be glad to help you with any questions you might have. First, let me tell you something about myself.
Hospitality was not my first choice for a career field but I am so glad I decided to go with it. After my high school, I decided to pursue Hotel Management at IHM Aurangabad, affiliated to the University of Huddersfield. In the four years there, I found my passion for Revenue Management and Data Analysis. I completed a yearlong internship at the Corporate Office of the Indian Hotels Company Limited in Mumbai in the Revenue Management function and also successfully completed the Hotelier Development Program as a Management Trainee specialising in Hotel Revenue Management.
Before coming to IMHI, I was working as the Assistant Revenue Manager at The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai and was looking to find ways to fast track my career growth. After extensive research on all the programs offered around the world, my search led me to IHMI, one of the best hospitality programs in the world! Once I made the decision to join IHMI, there was no looking back. My time here has been great. From experienced faculty to caring friends, I have found it all. Being an international student, I came here with a lot of anxieties about the lifestyle, food, language, friends, expenses, accommodation and so on but with the help of my new friends and the people at the institute, I have not only found the solutions to my worries but have also enjoyed each and every second of the journey as I explore the rich French culture.
