Hello, Sawubona, Heita!
My name is Valerie Mokrane, I am from sunny South Africa and I am in the 2021 Global MBA class.
Like most South Africans, I speak a number of languages; English, IsiZulu, SeSotho and a bit of French and Shona.
I graduated from the University Of Johannesburg with an Honours Bcomm Marketing degree in 2011. My last role was a brand manager position at Tiger Brands (the biggest consumer goods company in Africa). There,I looked after the export markets: Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Later, I managed a category of brands within the South African market. I am also an entrepreneur and I run a small property business in South Africa. After my MBA program, I intend to work for the non- profit sector and help eradicate poverty in Africa.
I enjoy reading fiction and autobiographies. When I am not reading, I enjoy dancing and the occasional documentary on the tv.
The ESSEC GMBA program is the stepping stone to help me reach my dreams. ESSEC ticks all the boxes for me. The subjects studied are relevant for students looking to reenter the ever changing business landscape. ESSEC also supports its students in many ways out of the classroom. From ESSEC ventures to the many clubs and associations that one can become a part of, ESSEC wants to bring out the best in you.
I am happy that the Global MBA got your attention and I will be more than happy to answer your questions about this amazing program!
