Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management with Real Estate Finance, Glion Institute of Higher Education
I’m originally from Singapore but grew up in different cities in China. I’ve also lived in Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates. Prior to starting an MBA, I worked in the hospitality industry, specialising in revenue management and distribution. In short, I managed pricing and market segmentation mix to help hotels achieve their revenue targets. But like many of you looking to attend business school, I wanted more from my career.
During my search for an MBA program and business school, I had three criteria; diversity, applicability in a business environment, and a strong alumni network. ESSEC’s Global MBA program fulfilled all three. I found the program to be diverse, not just in the student’s nationalities and cultures, but also their industry and career backgrounds. It’s an enriching experience in that you learn from your fellow classmates, whom bring different perspectives to the table. The learning is business centric, with many real-world applications and a capstone project working with real businesses. And ESSEC’s alumni network; forty-seven thousand strong! As someone looking to get into the Tech industry, I found ESSEC’s Global MBA program to be a perfect fit, with their offering of a specialization in Digital Business and Innovation.
