Hello! Namaste ! നമസ്കാരം!
My name is Tania and I am 39 years old, currently a GMBA student at ESSEC specialising in Luxury Brand Management. I am born and raised in Kerala, India and belong to the Anglo Indian community. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and post- graduation from college, I joined Goldman Sachs as an Analyst back in 2018. After spending 4 years in the Finance Industry, I learned several crucial skills that helped mould me into a true professional. However, I knew that my real passion lied elsewhere.
Ever since I was a kid, I was always inspired by true craftsmanship. My grandmother used to be an amazing seamstress and the art of turning thought into design and design into fabric absolutely moved me. This led me to pursue an MBA degree to change my career path from Finance to retail. Through my extensive research, I had found the ESSEC GMBA program to be the perfect 1 year integration course with the Luxury Industry. 2 months into the program, I am absolutely amazed by the sea of opportunities made available to me not just by the university but from Paris as well. We even got the chance to meet Mr Guillaume de Seynes ( MD at Hermes) and for us true lovers of accessories, it was a fangirl moment indeed. The one thing I absolutely love about the program is it’s unique blend of both theoretical and practical elements. My most memorable experience was the retail safari – where we got to visit a list luxury department stores posing as a customer! And at the end of the day, the memories you make with your MBA family will always be the most precious once during your studies.
Please do not hesitate to contact me regarding any questions you may have. If you are wondering whether ESSEC is the right fit for you, or you have questions about the admission process, life in Paris etc, ll be happy to help you along the way :)
And always remember – “ You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take ” so let’s make it memorable.
