My name is Simran. I'm an Indian from Kolkata, currently in my second year at ESSEC Singapore. Before starting as an undergraduate student at ESSEC Singapore, I was a student at La Martiniere for Girls for almost 12 years. During high school I majored in Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, Accounts and English. After graduating, I was faced with the daunting task of having to choose a college, a decision that would shape my future.
After careful consideration I finally narrowed in on ESSEC and I never looked back. By choosing ESSEC I got the opportunity to meet and interact with people from over 25 nationalities and thus broaden my horizons and my learning. The course structure at ESSEC (intercampus-mobility, exchange and a working semester) also greatly supported my personal development and allowed me to gain hands-on practical experience which gave me an advantage over others when looking for an internship. ESSEC also provide me with opportunities for growth outside the classroom with its multitude of extracurricular associations in fields such as marketing, entrepreneurship etc! The school and student associations also organize a lot of events such as movie nights and other fun events to provide much needed relaxation!!
Finally, my decision to study in the Singapore campus was due to the fact that Singapore is a melting pot for Eastern and Western cultures and is also the financial and business hub of Asia. As such, gaining meaningful work experience and building a network with people is that much easier. Further, the work and social life balance in this city is something I deeply appreciate.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you want to know more about ESSEC, the Global BBA program - its application process, course structure, extra curricular associations, student life etc. or even if you just want to talk through it! Looking forward to speaking to you!
